In the early 1980s, Lloyd Pulley and his wife, Karen, were living in California with their two small children when they read a letter asking for a Calvary Chapel-style fellowship to be started in Old Bridge, New Jersey. 

Pastor Lloyd felt the Lord’s calling on his heart to respond to that letter in person. Acting in blind faith and obedience, he and his family moved across the country and started a small Bible study on Thursday nights. From 1984-1986, the church grew from that small Bible study to a congregation of 150 that met in the Carl Sandburg School auditorium, and by 1992, it had grown to 700 adults, 300 children and multiple services. 

Now, Pastor Lloyd is the senior pastor of an ever-growing congregation totaling more than 3,000 people. He can be heard daily on the Bridging the Gap with Pastor Lloyd radio program, and weekdays on Bridge Bible Talk, the Bridge Christian Radio’s first-ever live call-in program answering questions on the Bible and Christian living. He is also the author of several books: Under His Influence: Yielding to the Work of the Holy Spirit; Everyday Conversations: Eternal Impact; and the Be Still 30 Day Devotional.

Pastor Lloyd and his wife have two children (one with the Lord) and five grandchildren.
